Sovereign Quarter Horses
Sovereign Quarter Horses is owned and managed by David & Sarah Deptford, set in the heart of the Fens in Cambridgeshire. It was established in the 1970’s by David and his Father, Henry Deptford, before David and Sarah began running the business in 1990 with the aim of breeding and training top quality American Quarter Horses here in the U.K.
The problem

Here's what our client was struggling with before we got involved.
Sovereign Quarter Horses is a long-established, highly respected business with a strong reputation built over decades, but their website didn’t reflect that.
The existing site was outdated, difficult to manage and didn’t support the way the business had evolved. While they were offering a wide range of services including Western riding lessons, experience days, camps and clinics, there was no streamlined way for customers to view availability or book online.
On top of this, their shop functionality was limited and not user-friendly, making it harder to manage products and process orders efficiently.
Overall, the website wasn’t supporting the growth of the business or making it easy for customers to engage with everything they had to offer.
What we did
Working closely with our client, we developed a tailored solution designed to support their goals, improve performance and create opportunities for future growth.
We moved Sovereign Quarter Horses onto Shopify, giving them a more modern, flexible platform that could support both their services and retail offering.
The new site was built to better reflect the quality and heritage of the business, while making it much easier for users to navigate and find what they need.
A key part of the project was implementing a ticketing and booking system for their events, Western riding experience days, camps and clinics. This allowed customers to view, book and secure their place online, removing the need for manual enquiries and back-and-forth communication.
We also upgraded their online shop, improving usability for both the customer and the team behind the scenes. Products are now easier to manage, update and sell, with a much smoother purchasing journey.
