It’s been a busy few months in the marketing world, hasn’t it?

Between Google shaking things up (again), the rise of AI changing how search results show up, and social media constantly switching up its trends, we’ve been keeping a close eye on it all.

Here’s a quick, jargon-free round-up:

Google's Latest Updates

Google's latest core updates mean content quality matters more than ever. Helpful, human-written posts are beating keyword stuffed content every time.

AI IS CHANGING SEARCH

Tools like Gemini and ChatGPT are affecting what people see first, so staying visible now means thinking beyond just traditional keywords and more conversational search terms.

NEW REEL SIZES AND FORMATS

Have you seen the new reel sizes and formats trending on Instagram and Facebook?

It’s worth checking your videos are optimised for those taller, scroll-stopping displays.

SOCIAL MEDIA TRENDS

Right now social media posts are all about authenticity – behind-the-scenes clips, quick tips, and stories that make people smile are performing best.

What’s happening at Build a Brand..?

The team are powering through the dark mornings and grey days with plenty of coffee and laughter. We’ve officially booked our Christmas do (yes, already!) and can’t wait for a night out together to celebrate what’s been a huge year for us.

We’re also super excited to share that we’ll be at the Excel London next month for our very first exhibition! It’ll be amazing to meet lots of people we usually only chat to online and finally put some faces to names. If you’re there, come and say hi - we’d love to see you.

If all these updates have you thinking it might be time to give your marketing a little refresh, we’d love to help. Whether it’s updating your SEO strategy, improving your socials, or giving your brand a new boost, the team are here to make it easy.
